The International Ceramic Art Fair (ICAF) is a celebration of some of the most compelling contemporary ceramic art, featuring works by emerging and established artists from a wide range of backgrounds, as well as online and in-person programming.

ICAF 2026 has been expanded from a 10-day event to a full 12-week exhibition, focusing on the theme of urban space, shelter, and the commons. From housing to tableware, clay and ceramics protect and nourish us, offering sustenance and strengthening communal spaces. Ceramics connect us to family and ancestral traditions, bonds tested by migration and the pressures of contemporary life. Clay and ceramics can also help us understand borders, territorial markers, and the idea of the commons that shape our relationship to the land.

How do we nurture communal relationships amidst dramatic change? How can the intelligence of ceramics inform how we navigate cosmopolitan life? How can new approaches to ceramic technology re-shape the ways we live together and our sense of security?

Join us to discover the works on view and participate in programming that explores these and other questions.
